Jason Wambles leaves Kinston after seven seasons with a 32-44 record on the football field. His last six teams reached the playoffs but none were able to win a post season game.

Wambles took the head coaching job at Excel during the off season.

Jonny Mitchell was promoted in June to the head football coaching position at Kinston. Mitchell served as the offensive coordinator last season at Kinston.
